Courtney Lee Hall was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She is inspired by the waters that surround her,
the earth she walks upon, and the small things that set spark. She is currently working on her second chapbook entitled petals.
This emotionally moving chapbook tells a tale of a weathered heart influenced by a life lived at sea. Poems are set to simple charcoal drawings, echoing songs of lament, of longing, and of love. Turning pain into beauty and slumber into awakening, Weathered is a feel good - pocket friendly read to be picked up time and time again. The included poem, toes / touching sand received an honorable mention and publication from Tuliptree Publishing's 2018 Stories That Need To Be Told Contest.

It is so incredible how far I have come as a writer since I began Weathered, and to see the work I am creating now. Major changes in style, language, and in song. I have been busy putting together my new chapbook entitled Petals, and I just love how it is turning out. It is deeper, more complex, and contains so much more of who I am in relation to the Earth. I look forward to sharing it with you this coming summer.
